Eastern Washington University invites applications for the position of Director-Archaeological and Historical Services in the College of Professional Programs. Archaeological and Historical Services (AHS), Eastern Washington University, is seeking a Director to lead a university-based, contract and grant funded cultural resources management program for projects across the Pacific Northwest. Major responsibilities include directing the AHS program and staff, obtaining funding for and implementing cultural resources projects, preparing reports of findings, and responding to client needs.
The successful candidate will serve as the Principal Investigator for all AHS projects. Responsibilities will include, but not limited to, directing a staff of professional archaeologists, historians, and support personnel, overseeing multiple budgets, developing grant and contract sources, preparing and editing funding proposals, maintaining liaison with funding sources, preparing federal and state permit applications, writing and editing project reports, advising clients (on project requirements, management responsibilities, and solutions to problems), and employing a multidisciplinary approach using standard and experimental techniques to meet project goals and client needs.
